Carti scrise de Yan Lianke
Yan Lianke este un scriitor de romane si nuvele din Beijing. Este cunoscut pentru stilul de scriere satiric al lucrarilor sale, fapt pentru care multe dintre volumele lui au fost interzise in China. Incepe sa scrie in 1978 iar printre titlurile cele mai cunoscute si publicate in diverse tari se numara 'Serve the People', 'Enjoyment' sau 'Dream of Ding Village.' Publica si peste zece volume de scurte povestiri.
S-a nascut in provincia Henan din China, in august 1958. Provine dintr-o familie de fermieri ce l-au indrumat spre o cariera militara, neavand resurse pentru a-i oferi o educatie in cadrul unei universitati. Astfel ca scriitorul se inroleaza in armata in 1978 iar in timpul petrecut aici evolueaza foarte rapid in grade pentru a deveni scriitor de propaganda.
Mai tarziu finalizeaza studii in politica si educatie in cadrul Henan University, in 1985, iar in 1991 isi incheie studiile in literatura la People's Liberation Army Art Institute. De peste treizeci de ani are o cariera stralucita in literatura, desi din cauza unora dintre lucrarile sale i-a fost interzis sa paraseasca tara timp de cativa ani.
Prima povestire scurta a lui Yan Lianke este publicata in 1979, iar din acest moment au urmat peste zece romane si alte peste patruzeci de povestiri scurte, printre care 'Serve the People!', 'Dream of Ding Village' si 'Lenin's Kisses.' Activitatea in literatura ii este recunoscuta prin numeroase premii si nominalizari de-a lungul anilor, fiind castigator in China a Premiului Lao She Literary, a Premiului Lu Xun Literary sau a Premiului Hua Zhong World Chinese Literature, cat si in afara granitelor, castigand Premiul Franz Kafka, de pilda.
Este si membru al Chinese Writers’ Association. In prezent locuieste si isi desfasoara activitatea de scriitor in Beijing.
